Kickoff weekend is here! Are you ready for the 2023 season of FIRST® Robotics Competition, CHARGED UP?
Thank you to those who volunteered to supply lunch and snacks during the kickoff weekend.
Friday, January 6th, we are meeting at the Tenniswood’s home to kick off the 2023 season. The event starts at 7:00 pm. There will be pizza, video games, robot talk, and fun.
Kickoff weekend is January 7th and 8th. What we do this weekend sets the stage for the great things we do during the season.
All team members are expected to attend the kickoff weekend. Alumni and Parents are encouraged to attend. It is a great way to get involved with the team and learn about this year’s game.
Kickoff Weekend schedule
Saturday, January 7th.
11:45 am – Arrive at St. Clair County RESA Admin building.
12:00 pm – Kickoff show starts!
1:00 pm – Lunch
1:30 – 4:00 pm – Game dissection, strategy discussion, and robot design.
Sunday, January 8th.
7:30 am – Meet at St. Clair High School in the bus loop. We will leave the high school at 7:40 am and drive to Kettering University in Flint for the ENGINERDS “Strategy Dictates Design” seminar by Clinton Bolinger, Lead Mentor of team 2337.
12:30 pm – Return to St. Clair County RESA Admin Building.
1:30 pm – Lunch and game dissection, strategy discussion, and robot design.
3:30 pm – Wrap up the weekend. Enjoy the rest of the day thinking about ROBOTS!
Monday, January 9th, starts our 2023 build season. The team will meet weekly at the BWARA Practice facility on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 7 – 9 pm. Saturdays from 10 – 3 pm.
